Job Description:
The CGG Internship program offers students and recent graduates a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in geoscience and engineering within a leading global geoscience company. Interns will collaborate with industry experts on various projects, including seismic data analysis and software development, contributing to cutting-edge solutions in the field.
Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in a variety of activities, including:
Seismic Data Analysis:
- Work closely with geoscience teams to analyze and interpret seismic data, playing a key role in ongoing projects.
Software Development:
- Assist in developing software tools and applications that support and enhance geoscience operations.
Research and Reporting:
- Conduct research on relevant geoscience topics and prepare reports to communicate findings and insights.
Collaboration:
- Engage with professionals in multidisciplinary teams, learning from experienced colleagues and contributing to project success.
Requirements:
To be eligible for the internship, candidates should meet the following criteria:
Educational Background:
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated from a degree in geoscience, geology, engineering, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with seismic data analysis tools and software development is preferred.
Analytical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Communication Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
Qualifications:
Educational Background
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in geophysics, geology, computer science, or a related field.
Skills and Experience:
- A strong academic record reflecting an aptitude for science and technology.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or MATLAB is desirable for software development projects.
- Familiarity with geophysical data and industry-standard software is advantageous.
- Previous internship experience or coursework related to geoscience, seismic imaging, or software development is preferred but not essential.

- A strong curiosity and passion for understanding the Earth’s subsurface.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
