Overview:
The Christie’s Internship program is a six-month program offering students and recent graduates hands-on experience in the art auction industry. Interns will work across various departments at Christie’s London office, gaining valuable insights into the day-to-day operations of an international auction house.
Responsibilities:
Interns may be involved in a range of tasks depending on departmental needs, including:
- Assisting with auction preparation and execution
- Conducting research and analysis on artworks, artists, and market trends
- Supporting client services, marketing, and operations departments
- Participating in client interactions and providing exceptional customer service
- Contributing to special projects and initiatives as assigned
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant degree program (e.g., Art History, Fine Arts, Business).
- A genuine interest in the art world; previous experience in the sector is advantageous
Requirements:
- Have a genuine interest in art, culture, and the auction industry
- Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Be detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
- Be proficient in relevant computer applications and technology
