Overview:
The ESRC Internship program in the UK offers research-focused opportunities for PhD students and early career researchers to contribute to studies on pressing societal issues. Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on pressing societal issues to contribute to groundbreaking insights and solutions.
- Assist in research projects related to the ESRC’s focus areas.
- Perform literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
- Collaborate with researchers and contribute to the design of longitudinal studies or major surveys.
- Publish substantive research on topics related to the ESRC Cross Cohort Research Programme.
Qualifications:
- PhD students nearing completion or early career researchers.
- Strong research experience in quantitative disciplines such as epidemiology, social statistics, demography, sociology, or economics.
Requirements:
- Good understanding of applied quantitative research methods and statistical analysis of large-scale longitudinal datasets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with academic collaborators.
- Prior experience in longitudinal study design or working on complex research programs is advantageous but not essential.
