Job Overview:
Hudson River Trading offers a highly competitive software engineering internship program focused on independent programming projects in C++ and Python. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience and contribute to real projects.

Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with experienced mentors to build and deploy trading models and strategies.
- Contribute to the development of HRT’s distributed trading system, renowned for its latency and throughput.
- Conduct rigorous statistical analysis on extensive market and financial data to create predictive trading models.
- Research, develop, and test innovative order execution and model training methods to enhance trading efficiency.
Requirements:
- Strong background in mathematics, computer science, statistics, physics, or data science.
- Proficiency in C++ and/or Python programming.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Qualification:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s program in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related quantitative field.
- Strong academic background with coursework in algorithms, data structures, and probability/statistics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or Java.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities for team collaboration.
- Ability to work independently and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
